Chalice of Corruption
I have a question.
When I was doing that quest where you infiltrate in the Am Fah guild with someone( Im a low lvl, lvl 13, and needed money and xp), that Brother said stuff about the Chalice of Corruption. My team member said that he had done this quest before with an other character and that the Chalice gave you more power, health and energy.(Stupid as I was, I trusted him too.)
Anyway, I drunk from it.
Suddenly I see that Im hexed. With the Chalice. The team member laughed at me, and left. Anyway, here is my problem:
Im a low lvl, so it isnt easy to defeat the Afflicted all by my self. But I cant do it with henchies, and Im afraid that if I do it with real team members Im too weak. Can anybody help me in this situation, please?

Mending
A good solution is using mending on yourself continuously. Otherwise, I would gladly help you too. PM me ingame: Sakura Blossoms

You don't even have to drink from the chalice you can either
A:Finish the quest(I did so with 60% dp with hench lol)
or
B:Abandone the quest, do it again and this time don't drink, you are given a different quest that is much easier

Ok, thanks for all your help!
I abandoned the first quest, and tried to do the other, but...How do I start now that the quest is abandoned?

When you decide to do it again (you should be level 20) you can do it with henchies. Just make sure when you start the fighting (the stupid guy that gives you the Chalice stops at the star), run back to where you hit the rez shrine. Wait for the afflicted to come. Kill them. Wait a bit longer, kill the next group. Then go back and kill the group that came first. And then retreat and kill the next group coming from the rez shrine area. And repeat until all are dead.
Don't use mending. It gets removed. Take Watchful Spirit if you must. It counters the -2 health degen from Chalice. Once removed, it gives you health.
I've done the quest with almost every character I have (all done with henchies).
Have fun and enjoy.

Sorry, I don't know.
I would suggest that you do all of the other quests and then comeback and get the Chalice quest.
To be perfectly honest, I only had 1 character do it before beating the game.
I only have 1 character who has completed most of the quests (I think I have like 3 to do now). The others have a dozen or so quests still to do (and they have completed Factions and all but one completed Tyria).
Anyway, you must still have other quests to do, do those then come back. If you don't want to go back and forth, back and forth, then you are playing the wrong campaign.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I don't pay attention to what quests you need to do before you get some other quest.

if you do the quest line up to find brother tosai(sp) and do not take EITHER quest he gives, you have pretty much free run of byway as the am fah are still non aggro and you can do the ton of other quest's there and get fat xp for little to no fighting

You can't get the other quest. Once you abandon the Masters of Corruption quest, you cannot "redo" the quest that gave you that one - choosing whether or not you want to drink from the chalice.
So, it looks like once you abandoned it, that quest line is gone for good.
I asked this question last week, and dug around a couple of forums to find that answer to make sure I didn't abandon it (for the completionist in me).

I point-blank refuse to complete Brother Tossoff's quest...I would gladly sacrifice the tiny amount of gold or whatever you get as a prize for not being harrassed by the Am Fah in the Wajjun Bazaar! I just keep the quest - Brother Tossoff's been waiting for me for a long time! He's probably getting thirsty, maybe he should have a drink from his chaice...

Agreed. This [get but don't complete Brother Tossai] is the first piece of advice I give to anyone who ends up in mainland Cantha and the first thing my characters do when they get there. I count it as at least one of the 10 most important things to know in Factions... probably in the top 3...

I did this quest yesterday.
I am level 20. I did it with henches.
I chose 2 healers, 2 fighters, 2 assassin, and a mage.
It was quite tough, but got there in the end. The secret is to try and draw the afflicted away from where they appear to a point where they're not so concentrated, and then try and take them out one at a time.

Actually, the Am Fah in the Byway and the Undercity still attack you even with the quest active, it's only the ones in the Bazaar that don't...
And in the future, just choose "don't drink". It's much easier...

QUESTION: Why would you drink something called the Chalice of Corruption expecting it to give more health and energy?
